LOGOS OF THE STAX RECORD CO. 1957-1975

Record collecting is an outsized passion of mine. Soul and funk music was one of the first genres I dove deep into and Stax records was a North Star. Collecting vinyl extends beyond the auditory, the physical artifact in its artful design and layout gives me immense pleasure. As a personal project I explored the breadth of logos used by Stax records and their subsidiary’s. Recreating them as vectors and compiling a visual history in poster form.
